Job Summary
The Piano Technician and Tuner will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing the performance of acoustic and digital pianos, ensuring they meet the highest standards. The role involves technical expertise, preventative maintenance, and support for live performances, while upholding the organization's reputation for excellence in service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive piano services, including tuning, regulation, voicing, action refurbishing, preventative maintenance, and repairs on acoustic and digital pianos.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for the piano inventory, ensuring regular tunings, voicing, and upkeep, while providing expert recommendations for long-term care.
- Assist with standard setups and preparations for events and live performances, providing technical support to pianists, keyboardists, and technicians to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair and maintain piano components, including woodwork, structural elements, and digital piano systems.
- Collaborate with artists and technical teams to meet performance and event requirements, ensuring all instruments function flawlessly.
- Expertise in piano tuning, regulation, and voicing.
- Experience in piano repairs, including woodwork and component assembly.
- Familiarity with digital piano and keyboard repair and maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
